We live in an age that admires boldness. Be bold! Stand out! Make your mark! Boldness isn't a bad thing. In fact, the Gospel calls us to a Holy Boldness. But there is also the danger of an Unholy Boldness.
Peter warns us that what starts in secret becomes bold. That which is bold becomes arrogant. The subtle infiltration of untruth becomes willful disobedience. Pete was giving a warning. Watch out for these red flags.
