Mark 16
[15] He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. [16] Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Go into the world. Don't separate yourselves from the world; go into it. Don't be of the world; instead, preach the Good News that transforms the world. Don't go into part of the world; go into ALL of the world. Don't shy away from any place in this world. The world does not belong to the Enemy, though he may roam through it.
God loved the WHOLE world so much that He gave His only Son for it. So we are commissioned to preach the Good News to all of creation. Proclaim the goodness of God even to the created order, though it cannot respond and need not respond, for even the created order rejoices to hear the Good News of Jesus.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. Whoever "casts their whole weight upon" the saving work of Jesus will be made whole and will be saved from the coming wrath. This is faith that TRUSTS WHOLLY in the justifying work of Jesus. Such people should be baptized, but it is not the baptism that saves; Jesus saves. It is not even belief that saves. Faith is our gift from God that allows us to access and apply the work of Jesus to our lives. Baptism cannot save because it is something that we do.
"Whoever does not believe (cast full weight upon the work of Jesus) will be condemned." In fact, anyone who casts their weight even partially upon baptism risks condemnation because, in doing so, they have not cast their FULL weight upon the work of Jesus. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith‑‑and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God‑‑ not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8‑9). Baptism celebrates Christ's work in raising a person to new life.
Go into all the world and preach this Good News: Christ has died for your sins. He has made possible peace between you and God. He offers this salvation to you as a free gift. Cast your whole weight upon His work and not on anything of yourself. Celebrate this new life by being baptized.

Lord, show me how to preach the Good News. Take me to places where I can proclaim the Gospel. In Jesus' name, Amen.
