Ephesians 1
[18] I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, [19] and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, [20] which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, [21] far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. [22] And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, [23] which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
When God enlightens the eyes of the heart, we can know the hope to which we are called. What is that hope? It is the knowledge of the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints and knowledge of the power of God.
What sort of power? Incomparably great power for us who believe. Paul declared that God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). The heart cry of the Apostle. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead (Philippians 3:10-11).
What is that power like? Paul tells us. That power is like the working of his mighty strength-- listen to this-- the power of resurrection that raised Him from the dead, the power of ascension that seated Him in the heavenly realms, the power over this age that is above all rule, authority and dominion, and the power that appointed Him head over everything FOR the church. That is real power!
Think about that. If God opens our eyes to the power of Resurrection, ascension, breaking of dominion, and the very power of Christ over everything for His church. Is there anything you need to be afraid of? Is there anything you need to worry over? Is there anything that He cannot handle?
Have you been struggling with something that you thought was beyond the reach of God? Beyond His ability to handle? Outside of His realm of power? There is no circumstance, matter, situation, or concern that is beyond His mighty Resurrection power. Submit it to Him.
Open my eyes Lord. I want to see the power of Your resurrection in my own life and the lives of those around me. I want to experience the power that breaks dominion and creates real freedom. Break into my life with Your power. Thank You Jesus.
