Almost everywhere you turn, you are likely to hear someone say, "We have never seen such division!" It might be a political discussion or a school Board meeting. There has rarely been filled with such divisive vitriol. The culture around us is deeply divided-- politically, racially, economically, generationally, and religiously. And this is not just in the United States; we see this in almost every part of the world. How do we interpret these times?

We often look to Christianity as the hope for unity. There are so many parts of the Bible that call for unity. Yet, we often miss one statement that Jesus made: “Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.” - Luke 12:51

Really? Jesus said that? Indeed, He did.
