There is a natural tendency to be in control. We like things a specific way. It makes us comfortable. Ananias and Sapphira in the Bible thought they could be in control of their status, their security, and their image. How did that turn out? They found that their lack of morality, and trust in themselves (rather than God) led to destruction. Their greed and selfishness stood between them and God.  They lacked Humility.
