God has a great picture of higher purpose in His heart for the continuing flow of His life from one generation to the next. Scripture indicates God’s desire is that the fire of His presence grows in breadth and potency so that one generation hands a living flame to the next generation who then steward and increase that flame so as to hand it to the next generation.
