Optical Delusions: How to See Life Through His Eyes
May 3, 2026 Pastor: Michael Thompson Series: Interpreting the Times
Verse: Luke 11:33–36
The thing that sets our perception of reality is not what we are looking at…it’s what we are looking through. The lens through which we view all reality. This lens on life presents us with either a distinct or distorted view of reality.
A damaged lens can make a good world look hostile, a good person look evil and a good God look absent, creating optical delusions. Jesus’ opponents were masters of such distorted reality. In our current series, Interpreting the Times, we are learning to become people who correctly understand the times in which we live and respond to them with Kingdom urgency. We must examine not just "what" we see, but "how" we see. In this week's message we will explore how Jesus heals the eyes of our hearts so we can see life through His eyes.
