A Certain Flexibility

Verse: Luke 5:33–39
"No one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed." Luke 5:37
How do we deal with new stuff? It is a conundrum in virtually every field of endeavor-- business, entertainment, education, technology, public policy, and warfare. We are living in an era of innovation marked by paradigm shifts, artificial intelligence, reusable rockets, and unmanned drones. Do you scramble to grab the newest trend or latest ideas? Or do you rigidly resist change and reject anything new? And nowhere are these questions more poignant than in the realm of religion.
By the time Jesus showed up, Judaism had become a rigid religion governed by 613 laws. There were laws and traditions for everything. However, the coming of Jesus presented something entirely new, rooted in the old.
Join us at Faith Fellowship as we study the Gospel of Luke and consider "Certainty in an Uncertain World: A Certain Flexibility."
