There are few moments of calling as dramatic as that of Levi, the Tax Collector. All four Gospels report that Levi became a central member of the Twelve Apostles. Interestingly, none of the Gospel writers records a single word or conversation from this Apostle. He was a quiet one. Yet, he ended up writing one of the most detailed Gospel accounts that we have. We know him as Matthew.

As we consider how Levi became Matthew, we find ourselves asking just how one leaves a good-paying job and everything that comes with it to follow Jesus? How does one make a decision like that in a moment?
