The purpose and power of the Holy Spirit is to bring through the Word the realities, values, atmosphere and heartbeat of Heaven to us on earth. Like the Trinity, God's word is multi-dimensional. The “Word of God” is “what God speaks”. The Author of Hebrews says that word is alive and powerful. When God speaks a Word to a human heart, transformation is affected. It does amazing things in our lives when we receive and embrace its full capacities, transforming both the tangible and intangible parts of us. This work of the Word and our willing submission to it is what ultimately leads us into the promised rest!
