The Return
September 25, 2022 Pastor: Dr. Jeffrey D. Hoy Series: Building Back Bolder
Verse: Ezra 2:1–70
God’s people returned from exile in Babylon home to Jerusalem over a great period of time. Years had passed and there were lots of reasons that many stayed behind. The first return of God’s people in 538 BC included 42,360 people plus servants. That’s a huge number of people travelling over 900 miles on foot. Eighty years later, 5000 more returned. After the third wave, it is estimated that 80,000 Jews remained behind. Why? What would you decide to do? There’s a lot to consider.
Join us to discover that the Return from Exile requires five things: Motivation, a Moment, Money, Manpower, and Momentum.
