The Bible describes 25 gifts of the Holy Spirit, and there are even a few more that are combinations of these. So which ones do we choose? Where do we start? What gift do we open first? Or maybe we are tempted to not open any. After all, some may seem a little scary. It may seem better to stay in our comfort zone and leave the gifts on the table. Is that what Holy Spirit wants?

The Apostle Paul used an interesting phrase to describe how we are to handle the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He called believers to Earnestly Desire the gifts that God has appointed for us. It is an amazing phrase that speaks to how we are to position ourselves to receive.
