Who are your Neighbors?  Is it only those who live next door or on the same street? Do we only love the neighbors who have the same interests?  How do we feel about the not so wonderful people? Would they be invited to the Block Party? The personal question is… Who is my enemy?

The teachers of the law confronted Jesus with this question.  They figured that a neighbor was a fellow Jew and that is who they should love. They weren’t too happy with Jesus’s response.  His told the story of the Good Samaritan. To a Jew, the Samaritans were the lowest of the low.  Loving them went against every belief and their Law. How could they understand?
