So, when is poor a good thing? Or how can poverty be a blessing? When Jesus opened His central teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven, more than a few must have been scratching their heads. "Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven?" Seriously?

Two thousand years later, we still scratch our heads, but we also begin to nod with realization and even appreciation. The lights come on as the Spirit guides us! Jesus was talking about an entirely different kind of kingdom with very different realities surrounding it.
