The Peril of the Poser
September 25, 2020 Pastor: Dr. Jeffrey D. Hoy Series: Finding the New Normal
Verse: Acts 8:9–25
There is a lot of talk these days about the need for repentance in our world-- turning toward God. We sometimes wonder-- How much more will it take for God to have our attention? We also see sparks of revival in various places and great gatherings for prayer. So, what is this repentance thing, and how does it work?
The record of the early church includes dramatic revival moments and acts of repentance as the Gospel spread. It also records incidents of false repentance. We can learn from both. How can we know the difference between false and true repentance? How can we know and pursue the "real deal."
Join us as we explore "The Peril of the Poser" in our study on "Finding the New Normal." There are ways to distinguish genuine repentance and ways to pursue it.
