Will Rogers was famous for many things including this saying-- He never met a man he didn't like. Rogers was praised an honored as a goodwill ambassador during some of the most difficult years of our nation and raised money for relief efforts during the Great Depression. We might be tempted to say that there are a few people that might change his mind! But his approach to life started each day with the decision to like the people that he met. It carried him far.
The New Normal of the first century church carried a similar spirit. The growing movement of Christ followers grew in "favor with all the people." Even when there were religious antagonists, the Apostles discovered some new friends in the most unexpected places!
Join us at Faith as we continue our summer study in the book of Acts-- Finding the New Normal-- A New Friend. It is a message for the very times in which we live.
