The most difficult and critical part of running a relay is the exchange-- that moment when one runner passes the baton to the next. Relay races are won and lost here. It is the point where the runner cannot think about himself or herself... only the baton and the exchange.
The fastest accumulation of runners does not necessarily win the race, especially if they fumble or fail at the point of the exchange.
As Moses drew near to the end of his life journey he faced this same issue. His leg of the race was ending. So who would take the baton? Who would carry on into the Land of Promise? Who would continue to lead with the message of the one true and living God? Everything was now at stake for the People of the Promise.
Join us this weekend as we continue our Strong and Courageous series in the book of Numbers-- "A Strong and Courageous Exchange".
