1 Timothy 6
[11] But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. [12] Fight the good fight of the faith.

As a Christian leader, pastor, or person of God-- run away from the life of ruin that was just outlined. Don't pursue the riches that trap many in foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and pierce them with many griefs.
Instead, PURSUE these six things.‑‑
Pursue righteousness, which means justification by faith, and the equity of character that comes when life is surrendered to Christ.
Pursue godliness which means the holiness of God. While we cannot make ourselves holy, we can pursue holiness as we run after an ever-closer walk with Him.
Pursue faith. Sprint toward a constant reliance upon Christ. Do not shrink from the places that are difficult or which demand greater and greater trust in Him alone.
Pursue love. Relentlessly go after unconditional love. Surrender daily more and more to the love of Christ in you, which desires to love the lost. Track down those situations hardest to surrender. The gem is there. Go for the gold.
Pursue endurance. Endurance is staying power or the patient continuance that carries us to the end. An endurance runner does not decide one day to run a marathon. The runner doggedly pursues the endurance needed daily,‑‑ continuing through discouragement and even failure.

Pursue gentleness or humility. Chase after it. It is hard to find. We are never naturally humble. Even our fears of insignificance and "feelings of inferiority" are rooted in comparison and pride.
Genuine humility is quite aware of our great value to God expressed in Christ. Such humility is confident to value others as more important on the agenda of God than ourselves. Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.
Now. Fight the good fight of the faith.

Lord, there is nothing in my day that You cannot handle. I shall relentlessly pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Give me grace and strength to fight the good fight of the faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
