Romans 8
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, [2] because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. [3] For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, [4] in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

This is the best news of all! There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! Why? Because there is a new law, the law of the Spirit of life, which has set me free from the law of sin and death! What the Law could not do, God did! How? By sending His Son to be a sin offering.
So, was sin overlooked? No, He condemned sin and met the righteous requirements of the Law. We are now free to live according to the Spirit rather than the sinful nature. That is Good News! That is the best news. Now, all we have to do is walk it out.
The reality is we choose daily whether to stand in condemnation or in freedom.  We choose daily whether to claim this very Good News or not.  Our worst critic is often our self.  Oh, many will condemn us, but even when no one else condemns us, we will! The Gospel calls us to say "No,"  do not condemn self.
If you are to find freedom, you must stand in the freedom of Christ Jesus, who has set you free.  The Enemy will surely condemn you.  Tell him the truth aloud, "Sorry. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!"  Friends and fellow Christians may condemn you.  Remind them of the truth: "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. You will have to take it up with Him."
We also choose daily whether to live according to the sinful nature or according to the Spirit.  The sinful nature has no power over us that we do not give it. If you are IN CHRIST, the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death. When we say, we have no choice, we are succumbing to the enemy's lies or just giving in to our own sinful nature. Choose life. Choose freedom. Choose to walk in the Spirit. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Lord Jesus, I choose to walk this day in the freedom You have won for me.  I choose to walk in freedom from condemnation.  I choose to walk in freedom from the law of sin and death.  I choose to walk in the law of the Spirit of life.  I choose to be in You.  Amen.
