Recap- Hebrews 4:1
Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

Well, we are done. At least we are done with the verses found in Hebrews. So what is at the core? What have we gained? It is such a rich study. There are many things that are important and powerful. But I would like to re‑emphasize what the Writer calls God's Rest.

God's Rest is offered to us through the work of our Lord Jesus. In the Old system, one could "fall short" of the Sabbath by failing to observe it properly. In the fulfilled system of Jesus, we fall short only when we do not trust wholly in His work and observance. We do not fall short by doing too much or too little. We fall short when we trust in what we do rather than in the finished work of Jesus.

Celebrate His grace this week. Rest in His finished work. Relax in His love. Enjoy His mercy. Bask in the wonder of His Spirit. Allow Him to renew your mind and heart. Allow Him to refocus your vision. Allow Him to rewrite your agendas and "to-do lists". Get free of the rules. Get plugged into a relationship with Him. Rest in Him.

Lord, I want Your Rest. I desire to rest completely in Your grace and Your work accomplished for me at Calvary. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
