Romans 10
[14] How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? [15] And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

As modern believers, we often are timid about sharing our faith. We do not want to intrude. We want to take care not to offend. But there is a danger if we slowly buy into the worldview that says faith is a "private matter" that we should not discuss or share. The reality is this: They cannot call upon One they have not believed in. And they cannot believe if they have not heard. And they cannot hear if no one preaches.
We live in a world that is lost. We often lose sight of that. There is even an increasing consensus about that in places that have attempted the atheism of modern life. We are adrift without God. Even Russia has faced this and opened its schools to the preaching of the Gospel. So why are we so slow about it?

And how can they preach unless they are sent?  Unless we listen, hear, and obey, no one will be sent. How do we do that? It is not a matter of lengthy mission trips. We just need to listen. Every person reading this knows someone who is lost and needs to hear about the saving relationship you have with Jesus. Who is it? Listen. Listen some more. God will tell you.
Are you saying that I should tell someone what to believe? No. Just tell them what you believe. Better yet, tell them how much you care. Tell them Who you know, not how much you know.
Are you saying that I should tell someone how to live? No. Just tell them the reason why you live the way you live. Give them the reason for the hope that is in you. Hopefully, they have already noticed.
Are you saying that I should condemn this person? No. Just tell them about yourself and how you were lost until Jesus found you. Just tell them how beautiful Jesus is.
Do you want beautiful feet? An odd question, perhaps. But if you tell the lost about Jesus, you will have beautiful feet. As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Lord, I would like to have beautiful feet. May my life shine with Your light. May my words speak only of Your love and grace. In Jesus' name. Amen.
