We are a FAMILY church...
We offer many programs and ministries designed specifically to enrich families who are trying to make some sense of a world that can be confusing and difficult. We have a wide variety of ministries for children, youth, and adults. We are a CHURCH family... We find a closeness of fellowship that gives back the connections that were once part of small town life. We help one another - we care for one another - we find special relationships between generations that make a wonderful difference! We are an EVANGELICAL church.. This simply means that we believe something is at stake in the message of God's love in Jesus Christ and we invite all to explore that message with us. That's why we proclaim the GOOD NEWS that a relationship with Jesus sets us free for real living and makes an eternal difference! We are affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America and you can click here to read our Statement of Faith. We are a FREE Church... We believe that the best way to govern a local church is locally, at the leading of the Holy Spirit. We are affiliated with other evangelical churches, but we are not governed by any body besides our local membership. We believe that when a church is free from outside agendas, Jesus Christ is free to be Lord of that church. We are part of the BODY OF CHRIST... We affirm the same central tenets of Christian faith that have been affirmed for centuries. The Bible is our source for truth about God and our need for wholeness. We are a BIBLE-BELIEVING Church... We feel that while there are many important things to study, none is as important as the Word of God found in the Holy Scriptures. We focus on the Bible more than we tell jokes or stories. We are people of FAITH... From the beginning of our Church, we discovered that we cannot get far in our own strength - therefore we seek to walk in complete trust - seeking the vision of God and His provision to fulfill that vision. We do not trust in any person, denomination or group - just in Jesus Christ Himself. We focus on DISCIPLESHIP, rather than on mere membership... While our church has an average attendance of several hundred, our membership is only a fraction of that number. We don't have to report membership numbers to anyone, or compete for awards-- so we are free to focus on the Commission of our Lord to make disciples of Jesus -- not members. Disciples are simply committed learning followers of Jesus. People from many church backgrounds and memberships are active at Faith. We rejoice simply to welcome those who seek to know Him more closely. We care for all people who come our way regardless of church membership or religious background. Because our greatest concern is YOU and not our membership number, please inquire if you have an interest in Church membership. We are not likely to bring it up. We are FOCUSED in our ministry... We don't claim to be all things to all people. As empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are committed to make disciples by sharing the Good News of Jesus with people who have not heard - and teaching the way of Christ. We generally are not involved in activities that do not have to do with that commission. We are called to do a few things well for Christ - not all things. We are a MISSION-MINDED church... From our founding, Faith Fellowship has committed 10% of every dollar to missions outside our church. We also have no administrative taxation by a denominational hierarchy, which helps us focus on our missions. Strangely, we have never had to talk much about money in church - which is a real blessing! Sure, we might be able to build a place to worship a little faster if we kept that money close to home - but you probably would not want to be part of a church that is focused only on itself. God seems to bless us when we are faithful to look beyond ourselves and care for others. We are burdened for YOUTH... A central burden at Faith Fellowship is to reach a generation of young people who need to find wholeness and hope in Jesus. Youth Ministry is not a peripheral concern of our church.
